Entry-Level Associates
New law school graduates are an integral part of the Littler team from day one and are expected to make valuable contributions and take on substantial responsibility. They start developing litigation and counseling skills early by handling important matters for the firm’s clients.
They are encouraged to appear before arbitrators, judges and state and federal agencies and have the opportunity to interact with clients and opposing counsel on a regular basis.
Summer Associates
Our goal is to expose summer associates to as many areas of the firm’s practice as possible and to provide constructive and valuable feedback. Our summer associate coordinators carefully monitor assignments to ensure sufficient training and development, as well as a broad range of work experience. Each Littler office incorporates social activities for interaction among summer associates and other members of the firm.

- A: As Littler represents employers ranging from small start-ups to large Fortune 500 corporations throughout the United States and abroad in virtually every industry, you will be exposed to many of our different practice areas. You will gain “hands-on” experience, including attending arbitrations, negotiations, mediations, depositions, hearings and client interviews.
Q: Do summer associates get feedback on their work throughout the summer?
- A: Absolutely. We are committed to providing thorough and timely feedback and constructive comments on all work produced. You will be evaluated on writing and research skills, analytic ability, efficiency, enthusiasm and more. Formal midsummer and end-of-the-summer evaluations are conducted to provide a comprehensive analysis of your progress.
Q: What training do summer associates receive?
- A: In addition to work assignments, the summer program features professional meetings and lunches designed to teach about our practices, our firm and our culture. You may participate in a variety of training programs on employment law topics, legal research, legal writing and litigation or business practices, as well as, attend regular associate training sessions.
