(July 21, 2021) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announce that Shareholder Devjani H. Mishra (New York) has been elected as a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in the Class of 2021. This year’s annual induction of fellows is scheduled for November 13, 2021, during the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section’s CLE Conference in Los Angeles.
“I could not be more honored and proud to have Devjani inducted as a fellow in this prestigious organization,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “Devjani continually provides outstanding service to our clients and embodies the professionalism and high standards that the college requires of its fellows. On behalf of the firm, I congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”
The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers is a nonprofit professional association honoring the leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of labor and employment law. Those selected to the college must uphold the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards, as well as exhibit strong scholarship, teaching, lecturing and/or published writing, along with leadership of no less than 20 years. Election as a fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession and a demonstration of integrity, dedication and excellence.
Mishra draws on more than two decades of in-house and outside counsel experience to partner with management in creating scalable and efficient solutions to complex workplace challenges. She is a leader of Littler’s COVID-19 Task Force and Return-to-Work Team, as well as Littler’s Vaccination Working Group. She regularly assists companies in navigating federal, state and local COVID-19 related restrictions and reopening requirements, and is a member of Littler’s Leave of Absence and Disability Accommodations Core Group.
Mishra is also an experienced litigator who has successfully handled employment complaints from inception through trial in federal and state courts and agencies. She works closely with clients to set cost-effective defense strategy and to alleviate the business disruption that litigation can cause.
Prior to joining Littler, Mishra was the primary in-house employment attorney for a global biopharmaceutical company serving patients in more than 50 countries. She is a regular presenter on employment law topics before the American Bar Association, the Practising Law Institute and numerous other forums.
Mishra earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her B.A., with distinction, from Yale University.
