LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (January 8, 2025) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Samantha DeRuvo as an associate and William Kang as of counsel in its Long Island office. DeRuvo and Kang have joined the firm from Mitchell Sandler LLC and Jackson Lewis P.C., respectively.

DeRuvo represents and counsels employers in all aspects of labor relations, employment law and related litigation. She has represented employers in New York state and federal courts as well as in proceedings brought before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the National Labor Relations Board. DeRuvo has experience defending discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and restrictive covenants issues. Additionally, she conducts internal investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, and provides advice and counsel to clients. DeRuvo received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.S. from Cornell University.
Kang focuses his practice exclusively on labor and employment law. He has been responsible for cases from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, responding to motions, and handling all aspects of discovery and mediating cases. Kang has experience with federal and state wage and hour class and collective actions; discrimination, harassment and retaliation cases; contract, trade secret and restrictive covenant matters; among others. Prior to joining Littler, he was a commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation associate at a firm in New York City. Kang received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his B.A. from Columbia University.
