Alison Finn advises on all contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, from the commencement of the employment relationship to termination. Alison assists clients with drafting employment policies and contractual documentation, as well as guiding employers through HR processes, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, and performance management procedures.

Alison has particular experience in handling employee terminations and any subsequent settlement negotiations, together with defending claims before the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court and managing employment injunctions. She also provides pragmatic advice on the employment law aspects of corporate restructurings and individual and collective redundancy situations. Alison is recognised as a key lawyer in Legal 500 EMEA (2024), as “particuarly adept at handling matters concerning HR prcoesses” and clients say she is “responsive, meets deadlines and provides practical advice”.

Alison is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin where she obtained a Bachelor of Law. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law from The Honorable Society of King’s Inns.

Prior to joining GQ|Littler, she trained as a solicitor in Matheson and worked as a senior associate in their employment, pensions and benefits team.
