WASHINGTON (October 7, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added four attorneys to its Washington, D.C., office: special counsel McLean Sieverding and associates Olaoluwaposi “Posi” O. Oshinowo, Meredith Schramm-Strosser and Tony Torain II. This is the latest group of attorneys to join the firm’s growing roster. In recent months, Littler has expanded by adding an 11-attorney group from Locke Lord and key lateral shareholder hires in its Kansas City and Long Island offices.
“McLean has substantial experience in the privacy and data security area, and his background will undoubtedly add value to our clients throughout the district and beyond,” said Alison Davis, office managing shareholder of the Washington office. “We are excited to have him, along with Posi, Meredith and Tony, join our growing team.”
Sieverding was previously senior counsel at InfoLawGroup LLP. His practice focuses on identifying and managing state, federal and international privacy and data security issues and risks for clients. He has extensive experience assisting employers with privacy policies and disclosures, terms of service and customer agreements to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign privacy and data security laws. Additionally, he is seasoned in data breach law and remediation, having managed more than 500 data breaches to ensure clients’ compliance and limit the potential for litigation, government enforcement actions, negative publicity and further data loss.
Sieverding is a member of the Federal Communications, American and District of Columbia Bar Associations, as well as the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He earned his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and his B.A. from Gettysburg College.
Oshinowo practices labor and employment law and joins the firm from LeClairRyan in Richmond, Virginia. With a primary focus on litigation, he defends employers against breach of contract and wrongful termination allegations, as well as claims of age, race, gender and disability discrimination in state and federal courts. He received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and his B.A. from Northwestern State University.
Schramm-Strosser, previously at Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker in Rockville, Maryland, counsels employers on a wide range of employment and business operations-related legal obligations. She represents business leaders in state and federal court and before administrative agencies and human rights commissions. Schramm-Strosser earned her J.D., cum laude, from George Mason University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Franklin & Marshall College.
Torain represents management in traditional labor law matters, including collective bargaining, unfair labor practice charges, potential strikes, representation elections and arbitration proceedings. Prior to joining Littler, he was a labor and employment associate at Miles & Stockbridge in Baltimore, Maryland. Torain received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law and his B.S. from Towson University.
