Back in March, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced an unprecedented package of measures, including a Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS). Since then, the CJRS has been extended and modified in an ad hoc fashion, resulting in it becoming very complicated. The latest extension to the furlough scheme was announced in November 2020 and will run until March 2021.
