NEW HAVEN, Conn. (January 4, 2024) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Paula Anthony as office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm’s New Haven, Connecticut office, effective January 1, 2024. Anthony succeeds Lori Alexander who will be stepping down to continue to focus on her full-time litigation and advice practice.
“Paula is a skilled litigator with deep roots in the Connecticut legal community and is the ideal candidate to take the helm of the New Haven office,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “We look to Paula to build upon the strong foundation Lori has established as we continue to enhance Littler’s stature in the market. Anthony focuses her practice on employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as administrative charges before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Connecticut Department of Labor. She regularly provides advice and counsel to employers on a wide variety of personnel and employment matters at all stages of the employment process, including leaves of absence and workplace accommodations. In addition, she has considerable experience conducting workplace investigations. Prior to entering private practice, Anthony gained extensive public sector legal experience serving as the Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Waterbury, Connecticut. In addition to managing Waterbury’s labor and employment matters, she advised the city on various municipal issues.

Active in her local community, Anthony is a long-standing member of the Board of Directors and current president of the Shelton Historical Society in Connecticut, and currently serves on a Regional Advisory Board for the Women’s Business Development Council. Anthony has also served as a member of Pace University’s Women in Business Alumnae Council, where she provided students with career mentorship and facilitated networking opportunities with female alumnae.
Additionally, Anthony is a frequent presenter on various employment topics and plays leading roles in several professional associations. She is a new member of the New Haven Inn of Court, serves as a board member and legislative liaison for the Human Resource Leadership Association of Eastern Connecticut, and serves on the Connecticut Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Section Executive Committee – having previously served as section chair. Anthony earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Pace University.
