INDIANAPOLIS, IN (November 5, 2013) - Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, is pleased to announce that Michael Moffatt has returned to the firm’s Indianapolis office after serving as associate general counsel for CNO Financial Group (CNO). Moffatt rejoins the firm as a shareholder and will continue to manage CNO’s labor and employment matters throughout the country, while focusing on his broader complex and class action litigation practice.

Moffatt has a broad range of experience in litigating a wide variety of labor and employment matters in federal and state courts. His significant litigation experience extends to jury and bench trials, preliminary injunctions, agency hearings, National Labor Relations Board trials, arbitrations and appeals. Moffatt also advises employers on a variety of employment laws and provides management training on litigation avoidance, sexual harassment and discrimination laws.

A frequent speaker, Moffatt regularly presents at seminars on employment matters and served as the chair of the Labor and Employment Law Update presented by the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum. He has also presented seminars and conducted training sessions on behalf of a number of business and municipal groups.
Active in the legal community, Moffatt is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association. He has also served in a leadership capacity for a number of local civic and volunteer organizations. Moffatt has been recognized in the legal industry as a top-ranked lawyer and was awarded the Martindale-Hubbell AV® Peer Review Rating. He has also been recognized in Who’s Who in America; Indiana Supers Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America.
Moffatt received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1989 and earned his B.A. from DePauw University in 1986.
