DALLAS, TX (February 9, 2015) – Sherry L. Travers, a shareholder in the Dallas office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been named as a 2014 recipient of the Class Representative Outstanding Service award by the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas Alumni Association (LDAA). The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the Class Representative role to the LDAA and the community.

The LDAA focuses on educating its alumnus about issues facing the greater Dallas community while encouraging members to become active leaders in promoting change. Created in 2013, the Class Representative Outstanding Service award is bestowed on graduates of the LDAA who serve as Class Representatives and have enthusiastically embraced their role and positively impacted classmates’ engagement with other classmates, the LDAA and the community.
Travers, a graduate of the program’s 2006 class, has served as a Class Representative since the program’s inception. She is a regular participant in LDAA events and other volunteer opportunities. In addition to serving as a member of the Dallas Regional Chambers’ Board of Advisors, Travers is also vice chair of the LDAA’s Outreach and Volunteerism Committee and Littler’s Dallas office Chamber liaison.
With more than 20 years of experience litigating and consulting on behalf of management in a wide range of employment matters, Travers has appeared in state and federal courts in Texas before a number of administrative agencies. She is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is the business development team leader and liaison for Littler’s Women’s Leadership Initiative for the Dallas office. Highly active in the professional community, she is a member of the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the International Association of Privacy Professionals and the State Bar of Texas. She received her LL.M from Georgetown University Law Center, her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, magna cum laude, and her B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude.
