MELVILLE, NEW YORK (July 08, 2015) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, continues the expansion of its Melville office with the addition of Mark Reiss as shareholder and Marc Abbott as special counsel. The duo is joining from the labor and employment boutique Abbott & Reiss, P.C. Following the recent arrival of attorney Leslie DiBenedetto, the Melville office, which opened in 2006, now boasts a total of 12 attorneys. Additionally, the firm is doubling its current office space at 290 Broadhollow Road to 14,000 sq. ft.

About Mark Reiss
Reiss brings with him significant experience in a range of labor and employment matters. He specializes in the areas of collective bargaining negotiations and labor arbitrations. He represents clients before the various state, federal and local labor and employment relation agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Connecticut Human Rights and Opportunities Commission and the Department of Labor. In 2008, he was recognized by the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc. with the Dr. Jack and Kelly McEwain Humanitarian Award. Reiss received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
About Marc Abbott
Abbott has extensive experience representing clients before various state, federal and local labor and employment related agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor. He served as a member of the New York State Public Employment Relations Board for seven years, having been appointed by Governor Pataki in 1999. In 2008, he was also recognized by the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc. with the Dr. Jack and Kelly McEwain Humanitarian Award. He was also recognized in 2011 by the Emerald Isle Society at the annual Briscoe Award Ceremony, which acknowledges the lifetime achievements of Jewish professionals who have had significant impact in the labor field over their careers. Abbott received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and his B.A. from Dickinson College.
