CHICAGO (August 5, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Jody Boquist to office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm’s Chicago office, effective August 1.
“Jody has shown leadership through her involvement in a number of firm committees and initiatives. We are confident in her capabilities and look forward to her taking the reins and advancing the firm’s position throughout Chicago and the Midwest region,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement.
Boquist represents employers nationwide in federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies such as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. Boquist’s practice focuses on multiple aspects of labor and employment law, including class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment and retaliation defense, wage and hour, unfair competition, breach of contract and arbitration matters. She supports clients in the transportation, finance, insurance, healthcare, consulting, retail and legal industries.

A founding member of Littler's Chicago office, established in 1997, Boquist served as the firm’s Associate General Counsel for eight years and is a former member of the Client Investment Management Committee and the Associates Committee. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and her B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
