SAN DIEGO, CA (June 24, 2013) – Jeremy Roth, co-managing director of Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana (JSSDT). Roth will serve a three-year term.
“I am very appreciative of the opportunity to contribute to the goals of the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana,” Roth said. “I have the good fortune to work with many Japanese companies and also to manage a law firm with significant offices in Mexico. I hope to assist President Dave Tuites and his team in any way I can.”
A nonprofit organization, the JSSDT was formed to promote goodwill and advance business, civic, educational and cultural interchange and understanding among the people of Japan, San Diego and Tijuana. The organization offers an array of programs and events that focus on tri-national relations to promote a better understanding of the three regions.
JSSDT President Dave Tuites said Roth will bring valuable knowledge and experience to the board. “We are pleased to have Jeremy join our board,” Tuites said. “He has been a supporter of our organization over the years, and we look forward to his contributions as a JSSDT board member.”
As co-managing director, Roth oversees Littler’s 57 offices throughout the United States and Latin America, with a particular focus on expanding the firm’s presence throughout Mexico and globally. In addition to his management responsibilities at the firm, Roth maintains a labor and employment practice that encompasses alleged discrimination, wrongful termination, employment-related torts, wage and hour claims and class and collective action claims. Roth is frequently quoted in the media on a variety of employment law and legal industry issues and has consistently earned recognition as a leading labor and employment attorney.
