DENVER (October 10, 2022) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Shareholder Michelle Gomez as the firm’s Senior Director of Onboarding & Integration. In this position, Gomez will create and oversee Littler’s firmwide onboarding and integration programs for all newly hired talent, as well as for individuals moving positions within the firm.
“A thorough and deliberate onboarding and integration process is critical to setting an individual’s overall path to success. I’m thrilled that Michelle, who has long been a leader in our associate integration and mentorship programs, is taking on this vital role at the firm,” said Melissa Cee, Littler’s Chief Talent Officer. “As a practicing attorney and shareholder, Michelle’s move also embodies Littler’s commitment to empowering people with opportunities to direct their own careers. In this new role, I have no doubt she will pave the way for others to embrace career choice at this pivotal moment in the legal profession.”
Gomez will manage all aspects of onboarding and integration from the first interview through the initial 18 months of employment, including organizing training sessions, serving as a talent liaison to introduce new hires across the firm, and assisting in individual onboarding and integration plans. She will work closely with corporate departments across the firm, as well as with local offices and practice groups, to assist talent in an effective start in their new roles. In addition, Gomez will gather and analyze feedback from new hires to further enhance the firm’s processes.
“I’m proud to be part of a firm that is steadfastly committed to a culture of continuous improvement, industry-leading mentorship opportunities, robust IE&D programming, and flexibility when it comes to new working models,” said Gomez. “I know firsthand what it’s like to rise up through the ranks at Littler and chart my own career path here. This new role is a culmination of those efforts, and I look forward to empowering new and existing employees with the resources, guidance and support the firm has long given me.”
Gomez has been an attorney with Littler for nine years and was elevated to shareholder in 2019. For years, she has been actively involved in the firm’s Inclusion, Equity & Diversity (IE&D) and associate integration programs, including serving as a co-chair of Littler’s SOAR Program, which pairs newly hired associates with a shareholder mentor to help them successfully integrate into the firm. She also is a member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative Steering Committee, Littler’s Career Advocacy Program, and the Reunión affinity group for the firm’s Hispanic and Latin American attorneys and staff.
