SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 14, 2014) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Patrick G. DeBlasio, Michael Short and Trent Sutton to the roles of office managing shareholder (OMS). DeBlasio succeeds Scott Forman in Littler’s Miami office, Short succeeds Susan Sears in Lexington and Sutton succeeds Maggie Clemens in Rochester. All three former OMSs will return to their full-time practices at Littler.

Patrick G. DeBlasio represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including claims arising under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Florida Bar, the State Bar of California and the Hospitality Human Resources Association of Broward County. DeBlasio has received widespread recognition for his professional achievements from publications and industry organizations including the Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA and the International Law Office/Lexology. He received his J.D. from the University of Miami cum laude and B.A. from Flagler College.
Michael Short, who also serves as the office managing shareholder of Littler’s Columbus office, represents management clients in a wide range of labor and employment matters. Active in a numerous professional associations, Short is a member of the Labor and Employment sections of the American Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Labor and Employment/Workers’ Compensation sections of the Columbus Bar Association, the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio, the Central Ohio Self-Insured Association and the Ohio Public Employer Labor Relations Association. In 2014, he was recognized for his career achievements in the Best Lawyers in America. Short received his J.D. from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his B.S. from Miami University.
Trent Sutton’s practice at Littler focuses on international employment and compliance matters. Sutton is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the International Law/Labor and Employment sections of the State Bar of California, the New York State Bar Association and the Utah State Bar. He is also a member of the International Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and the International Business Council – Greater Rochester Enterprise. He was recognized as a Super Lawyer in the Upstate New York region in 2013. Sutton received his J.D. from Brigham Young University cum laude, his M.P.A. from Syracuse University and his B.A. from Brigham Young University.
