Sheridan to further the firm’s global service offerings in the Southern Hemisphere
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 3, 2015) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Naomi Sheridan a shareholder. Sheridan, located in the firm’s Los Angeles office, has been practicing for more than 10 years and is one of a handful of dually licensed practitioners in Australia and the United States.

Sheridan has experience in providing global employment solutions for companies with operations across Australia, its neighboring countries and the U.S. With an extensive Australian client base, she regularly advises companies on matters such as: the transfer of employees between countries, managing risk and compliance, international employment agreements, benefits and compensation, local labor, union and employment issues, immigration, employment taxes, global policies, company restructuring, down-sizing and employment litigation. Sheridan has appeared before federal and state courts on matters ranging from employee termination disputes, contract law, retrenchments, post-employment restraint and breach of employer confidential information issues, wage and hour disputes, union disputes and discrimination and harassment matters. Additionally, she is an Australian Registered Migration Agent and has extensive mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) experience.
A frequent speaker, Sheridan has presented at several employment law events. In the coming months, she will be a featured speaker at a number of Littler-sponsored events throughout Australia. Hosted in conjunction with the state government and trade offices in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, Sheridan will be speaking on the topic of “Australia-U.S. Cross Border Issues for Companies Operating or Looking to Operate in Both Countries.”
In addition to her legal work, Sheridan is active in business and community organizations in the U.S. and Australia. She is a member in a number of professional organizations, including, the Law Institute of Victoria, American Australian Association, Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Advance - Australia, Luminary Circle – Step Up Women’s Network and the Migration Institute of Australia. Sheridan is also an appointed legal advisor in the Australian Government’s Commercialisation Australia Expert Network and the Australian government-funded elevate61 Australian entrepreneur program.
Sheridan received her LL.M from Monash University and her LL.B from Deakin University in Australia.
