LEXINGTON, KY (December 13, 2010) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, announced today the addition of LaToi D. Mayo to the firm. Mayo will be a shareholder in Littler's Lexington, KY office.

Mayo is a former member of Wyatt Tarrant & Combs LLP's Labor & Employment Service Team. Her practice focuses on labor and employment, and immigration law. She has successfully represented employers in state and federal court, and in proceedings before organizations including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Kentucky state Workers Compensation Board.

Mayo regularly provides counsel to employers on employment and immigration issues, and speaks on these topics at Kentucky Bar Association meetings, Kentucky Continuing Legal Education seminars, and training clinics for management and employees. She is a member of the National Bar Association's John Rowe Chapter, was co-chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the 2008 Kentucky Bar Association Convention, and is a former legal writing instructor at the University of Kentucky College of Law. She also acts as a mentor for the Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity Program.

In addition to her professional affiliations, Mayo is actively involved in her community. She is a member of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Ethics Commission and serves on the Legal Aid of Bluegrass Board. She also volunteers her time to the Fayette County Bar Association Pro Bono Volunteer Program, the Lawyers Are Reading to Kids program, and the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Mayo has received a number of honors recognizing her career achievements. She earned a BV® Distinguished™ certification mark from Martindale-Hubbell—a widely respected mark of achievement for attorneys. In 2008, Mayo was honored when she was named the "Outstanding Young Lawyer" in Kentucky 2008 by the Kentucky Bar Association, after having received the "Outstanding Young Lawyer Award" in 2006 from the Fayette County Bar Association.
