Littler's new Birmingham attorneys include shareholders Jay St. Clair, Jim Alexander, Jim May and Stacey Bradford. All are formerly from the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant Rose & White. With existing offices in Atlanta and Mobile, opening an office in Birmingham enables Littler attorneys to deliver its unsurpassed national resources to more clients in the Southeast.

St. Clair will be the managing shareholder for the Birmingham office. A 1983 graduate of the Yale Law School, St. Clair has practiced labor and employment law for 24 years. He is a fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, a former chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, and is an adjunct professor of labor law at the Cumberland School of Law. He has been listed in numerous editions of The Best Lawyers in America for labor and employment law and worker's compensation.

Alexander advises employers on labor and employment law issues and litigates on their behalf at both the trial and appellate level. As a member of the American Arbitration Association's commercial and employment disputes arbitration panels, Alexander maintains an active ADR practice as an arbitrator. He also represents employers in arbitrations and frequently serves as a mediator. As a former member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Alabama School of Law, Alexander taught the employment discrimination law course annually from 1981 through 2003. In 1997 he was elected a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He has been named in the labor and employment law section of The Best Lawyers in America in every edition that has been published. Alexander graduated from Duke University and Duke Law School.

Bradford is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Wake Forest University Law School, where she was an executive editor of the Law Review and a member of Moot Court. She focuses on employment and ERISA litigation, and has successfully handled a wide variety of cases involving discrimination, the FMLA, wage and hour issues, ERISA, harassment, and retaliation.

May, a graduate of the University of Virginia law school, has practiced labor and employment law since 1980. His practice covers a broad range of cases and issues, including the defense of class actions, wage and hour collective actions, and multiple plaintiff ERISA and discrimination cases.
