FRESNO, Calif. (June 2, 2021) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Gerardo V. Hernandez as a shareholder in its Fresno office. Hernandez joins from Raimondo & Associates. His arrival follows a number of key lateral additions in the last several months, further expanding Littler’s roster of employment and labor attorneys throughout the U.S. and globally.
“I am excited to welcome Gerardo to Littler,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s Managing Director and President. “He brings an impressive depth of litigation experience in proceedings before federal and local courts and administrative agencies, and his client focused approach aligns well with Littler’s core values of diversity, innovation and an unwavering commitment to quality legal services.”
“Gerardo is a Fresno native and well-respected within the local business and legal communities,” said Gary Bethel, Littler’s Fresno Office Managing Shareholder. “His deep roots in the Central Valley and extensive experience representing companies in a range of employment-related matters will serve us well as we continue to expand our presence in the region.”
Hernandez defends employers in both judicial and administrative proceedings and has significant experience in all stages of litigation. He regularly represents clients against claims involving wage and hour compliance, discrimination and harassment, unfair labor practices, and the California Private Attorney General Act. Hernandez also advises on union decertification issues involving the National Labor Relations Board and the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board, as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration citation appeals.
“Being born and raised in Fresno, I have a deep understanding of the local market and the myriad employment issues local businesses face. I am excited to be joining the largest employment and labor law firm in the world to leverage its vast resources and geographic footprint to serve the needs of my clients,” Hernandez said. “I look forward to working with this team of top talent in Fresno and beyond.”
Hernandez earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law – where he made the Dean’s List as part of the Honors Lawyering Program – and his B.S. from the University of California, Davis. He is a member of several legal and business organizations, including the American Bar Association, Fresno County American Bar Association, Fresno County Young Lawyers Association, Agricultural Personnel Management Association and Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation.
