PORTLAND, Ore. (January 9, 2024) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Lisa P. Shevlin as a shareholder in its Portland, Oregon office. Shevlin joins from Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP with wide-ranging experience as an employment law advisor and litigator.
“Lisa brings a versatile skill set and unique perspective to client relationships, drawing from her background in human resources and work as an in-house, private practice and government lawyer,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “As we look forward to another year of strategic lateral growth for the firm, we’re excited to kick things off by adding Lisa’s insights and depth of experience in complex employment litigation.”
A skilled litigator, Shevlin has handled numerous multimillion-dollar cases involving employment-related claims from the pre-claim investigation stage through trial. She also regularly conducts workplace investigations and advises clients on various matters that arise in the employer-employee relationship. Shevlin's experience in complex litigation arises from her work in both the public and private sector. This broad foundation, including time at Liberty Mutual Insurance and the U.S. District Court in Portland, allows her to appreciate the unique facts and interests involved in each case.
“Lisa brings an empathic and business savvy approach to her advisory and litigation work that aligns well with our client service model,” said Ryan Hammond, Littler’s regional office managing shareholder for the Portland office. “Our clients and teams will benefit immensely from both her capabilities in guiding litigation strategies and her deep ties to the Portland community.”
“I’ve long been impressed with the deep knowledge of all areas of labor and employment law and innovative approach that Littler’s platform offers to employers,” said Shevlin. “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work with such a high-caliber team and to leverage Littler’s superior resources to expand my service to clients.”
Shevlin received her J.D. and Masters of International Affairs from Pennsylvania State University and her B.A. from Portland State University. She is licensed to practice in both Oregon and Washington.
