WALNUT CREEK, California (May 16, 2018) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Alka Ramchandani-Raj to its Walnut Creek office. Previously with Jackson Lewis, Ramchandani-Raj brings significant experience representing clients on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) matters.
“We are excited to welcome Alka to the firm,” said Greg Iskander, Walnut Creek office managing shareholder. “Her background in the workplace safety and health arena will be beneficial to our clients as they face the complexities of OSHA-related issues.”
As a member of Littler’s Workplace Safety and Health Practice Group, Ramchandani-Raj will work closely with practice co-chairs Steve McCown and Terri Solomon to counsel clients on compliance regulations, policies and interpretations under OSHA, as well as state and local agencies. Drawing on her experience navigating workplace safety regulations for employers, Ramchandani-Raj will assist clients with matters involving workplace violence, infectious diseases and substance abuse and testing.
Additionally, she will guide employers on policy and procedure development, employee discharge and discipline, and wage and hour compliance. She will advise employers in pre-injury/incident preventative practices and post-crisis/incident litigation.
Ramchandani-Raj regularly presents to business and industry groups on a variety of labor and employment topics. She earned her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School and her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
