Overview

Susan Woodhouse manages the Knowledge Management (KM) department, comprising attorneys, researchers and technologists.

As an advocate of innovation, she is deeply committed to developing tools, services, products and support that allow attorneys to consistently deliver the highest quality client services across practice areas and geography. She collaborates with practicing attorneys and the KM attorneys to identify areas that can be streamlined and made more efficient through new products and technology-based solutions.

Susan’s vision, creativity and employment-law experience were crucial to the development of several Littler products and services, including PolicySmart®, an online compliance tool that enables employers to track legislative and regulatory changes in HR policies and procedures; Littler GPS®, an online database that provides employers with instant access to recent legislative and regulatory developments across every U.S. jurisdiction; and Littler LaborSmart®, a cutting-edge technology solution for the analysis, organization and benchmarking of collective bargaining agreements (CBA).

Susan has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s efforts to educate and update clients and the broader legal and business community on trends and developments in the labor and employment arena. She regularly works with attorneys to ensure the content provided in Littler’s online publications  is timely and provides practical recommendations for employers. In coordination with the firm’s KM project and web development teams, she is continuously looking for ways to improve the process of distributing the content being created within the firm to most effectively share information with the firm’s clients and colleagues.

Susan’s contributions to the firm’s KM department have led to several recognitions, including being named 2015 Knowledge Management Professional of the Year by International Legal Technology Association’s (ILTA) Distinguished Peer Awards. Additionally, she was included in the list of the nation’s “Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” in Human Resource Executive and Lawdragon Inc., which identifies employment lawyers nationwide for professional excellence.

Susan’s contributions help Littler remain agile and responsive in an environment where clients increasingly expect their outside counsel to provide more efficient and cost-effective service.
