Sharon S. Mequet is an experienced litigator who represents companies and organizations of all sizes in all types of employment litigation matters pending in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings. She has successfully defended clients against discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. In addition, she has broad experience defending cases involving breach of contract, fraud and business torts as well as managing class actions. Sharon also represents employers in state and federal administrative proceedings, including those before the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Prior to joining Littler, Sharon worked as a senior counsel in the corporate legal department of one of the nation’s leading insurers. She also practiced litigation for many years in the Los Angeles office of a multiservice national law firm.
During law school, Sharon was a member and note editor of Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and served as an extern to the Hon. Arthur L. Alarcon, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
