Overview

Max A. Lamcken represents and advises employers and management in all areas of labor and employment law. He focuses his practice on post-employment restrictive covenants, unfair competition, trade secrets, wrongful discharge, traditional labor law, and defense against federal and state discrimination, harassment, and retaliation-related litigation.

Max has successfully defended clients against claims for injunctive relief that allege shareholder oppression, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. His traditional labor experience involves assisting local and national clients with unfair labor practice charges, labor arbitration, and general counseling.

Prior to joining Littler, Max was a judicial extern for the Hon. Chief Judge Juan R. Sánchez in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and a judicial intern for the Hon. Joseph L. Marczyk in the New Jersey Superior Court of Atlantic County. Max has also conducted extensive research during his fellowship with the McCullen Center of Law, Religion, and Public Policy, and offers an adept understanding of employer obligations under federal antidiscrimination law as a result of his externship with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

During law school, Max was a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient, admissions ambassador, and elected representative for the Student Bar Association. He was also elected to serve on the executive board for three on-campus societies, and received the Dedication Award In Recognition of Distinguished Service for his contributions as a staff writer and articles editor for the Villanova Law Review.
