Laura E. Devane advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment matters. Laura devotes a substantial amount of her practice to drafting arbitration agreements and works closely with clients to rollout employee agreements and policies.
Laura regularly appears in California federal and state courts, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
Before joining Littler, Laura worked for a national law firm in Minneapolis defending corporations in multimillion-dollar litigation stemming from various employment-related claims, including aiding and abetting breach of restrictive covenant agreements and misappropriation of trade secrets. Laura also worked for the largest law firm in the Central Valley representing and advising clients in a wide range of disputes from pre-suit advice to trial and appeal.
After law school, Laura served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Paul B. Higginbotham of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. While in law school, she interned for the Hon. Donovan Frank of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Laura has provided pro bono representation and assistance in death penalty cases and served as a housing court volunteer to low-income individuals.
