Joseph A. Schwachter began his career as a litigator with the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for briefing and arguing unfair employment practice cases in federal appellate courts throughout the country. He has since developed a practice that specializes in appearing before the NLRB and in litigating claims for wrongful termination, employment discrimination and sexual harassment.
He also practices before state and federal administrative agencies and has significant experience with:
- Wage and hour litigation

- Mediations
- Jury trials
- Union issues
Additionally, Joseph regularly trains managers on managing within the law and how to get the most of the employees they supervise.
Joseph has been quoted on a myriad of employment-related issues in national periodicals and frequently lectures around the country and overseas on employment-related issues, including wrongful termination, harassment litigation and minimizing exposure to litigation.
