Overview

Jacqueline Menendez represents employers in a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour class actions, and claims brought under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). 

In addition, Jacqueline advises employers on workplace privacy and information security matters, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), other state data protections laws, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), employee surveillance and monitoring, social media, new technologies, and global data protection laws.

In both her litigation and privacy work, Jacqueline is a strategic advisor for employers. She counsels clients on managing the employment relationship, minimizing legal risk, and maintaining employment law compliance. Jacqueline also drafts compliant employment agreements, policies, and handbooks to minimize the risk of litigation.

Prior to joining Littler, Jacqueline practiced at a business litigation firm in the San Francisco East Bay area.

While in law school, Jacqueline served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Chief Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and was a member of the Berkeley Business Law Journal and the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal. Jacqueline also served on the Law School Admissions Committee.
