Devon Alexander represents and counsels management clients on labor and employment law matters.
Prior to joining Littler, Devon served as in-house legal counsel for an American lifestyle retail company. In this role, he managed the company’s third-party risk management program and assessed legal risks associated with potential third-party vendors. Devon monitored reports made through the company’s ethics hotline and collaborated with the human resources and inclusion and diversity departments to investigate reports and monitor any trends. Devon promoted a “Speak Up” culture through training, orientation, and relationship building. Finally, he enhanced corporate compliance and employee accountability through policy reviews and training sessions, including on the company’s code of conduct and whistleblower policy.
Previously, he worked in the Employment Law Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Devon represented and advised Ohio departments, courts, and universities on employment matters, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. He represented clients in federal and state court, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and before the State Personnel Board of Review. Further, he represented clients throughout all stages of litigation, including responsive pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, mediations, trial preparation, and trial. In recognition of his work product and client service, Devon received the Ohio Attorney General Pride Award in 2021. While at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, he also coached Capital University Law School’s mock trial team, which competed in the Ohio Attorney General’s mock trial competition.
