Christine M. Fitzgerald is an experienced litigator and legal advisor, with her practice focusing on trade secret and unfair competition matters. Her work includes leading computer forensic investigations, developing internal policies and procedures, and litigation.
Christine also has significant experience handling single plaintiff matters including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases. She has experience representing employers in wage and hour representative and class action matters. She partners with clients to advise on various employee relations issues such as leaves of absence, performance management, and terminations.
Christine has successfully defended an employer in trial where the former employee asserted claims for harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination. The jury rendered a complete defense verdict. She has also obtained full defense arbitration awards and positive outcomes for her clients in both state and federal court.
Christine’s prior experience includes serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California, where she represented the United States and its agencies in a broad range of cases, including employment discrimination, personal injury, and bankruptcy. She also clerked for the Hon. Scott C. Clarkson, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California, and the Hon. Mark D. Houle, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, also for the Central District of California.
