Brian P. FitzGerald is a management-side employment attorney with experience representing employers throughout Ohio and New York federal and state courts as well as their federal, state, and local administrative agencies. Brian’s practice focuses upon assisting companies with unfair competition issues, such as the theft of trade secrets and the enforcement of noncompete, nonsolicitation, nondisclosure, and confidentiality agreements. In addition, Brian regularly advises employers facing employment discrimination lawsuits and wage garnishment matters.
Prior to returning to his hometown to join Littler’s Cleveland office, Brian worked as a management-side employment attorney in the New York City office of a full-service national law firm. Outside of work, Brian currently serves in several leadership positions with Cleveland area nonprofit organizations, including on the board of the Cornell Club of Northeast Ohio. Brian also remains active with the Saint Ignatius High School alumni community and regularly participates in pro bono legal activities, such as Cuyahoga Community College’s Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Legal Clinic.
Previously, Brian served on Littler’s 2022 Associates Council and oversaw the Cleveland office’s 2023 Summer Associate Program. Currently, Brian is a member of the firm’s Environmental Working Group.
